9th Quadrennial Congress BLANKENBERGE, MAY 4-7 2011
Dear colleagues in neuroscience nursing, On behalf of the board of the European Association of Neuroscience Nurses (EANN) I would like to offer you a warm welcome to the 9th EANN quadrennial congress in Blankenberge, Belgium. Be sure to be there because It will be a very exciting congress with lots of inspiring topics. |
The essence of neuroscience nursing is to care for patients whose vital functions can be disturbed and patients with a mix of sensory motor, cognitive and emotional impairments. This means a neuroscience nurse needs to be competent in the wide area from life-threatening situations and acute care to neurorehabilitation and neuropalliative care. Excellent education is needed, not only to become an excellent neuroscience nurse but also to stay one. And excellent research is needed to improve the neuroscience nursing body of knowledge. This congress will be a tremendous opportunity to improve your competences, to see what's new in neuroscience nursing, to learn from each other, to network, to meet colleagues from all over the world and to make new friends. And although this congress is focusing on nursing EANN emphatically invites representatives of other disciplines to participate and present as well! The Belgium association is a great host and stands for an excellent congress organization and great hospitality. On top of that: Blankenberge is in the middle of exuberant Flanders, with historical places like Brussels, Antwerp and Bruges, the broad Nord Sea beaches and excellent food and wines. So lots of reasons to come to Blankenberge to celebrate the future of neuroscience nursing by combining an inspiring congress with having a party! Paul van Keeken |
